Thanksgiving and Christmas Trimmings

Steve and I enjoyed a nice Thanksgiving for just the two of us. We enjoyed rolls, mashed potatoes, gravy, stuffing, jello, and turkey (this knocked me out into a deep sleep just an hour later)!

Later that day we sat around the "fire place", listened to Christmas music, and decorated the tree! Friday and Saturday Steve actually joined me in some door-busting and pretty successful shopping. Steve was determined to get all his Christmas shopping taken care of this weekend seeing as how he really dislikes any type of shopping. He got pretty close :)
Overall it was a fun, nice weekend. We sure did miss our families though!

I have to say I am totally impressed with your Thanksgiving meal cooked all on your own. Way to go. You are going to be an awesome mom. : )

Ya, great job on your first (alone) Thanksgiving! I haven't even done that yet! Dave did cook us a turkey this year, although he cooked it a couple days later, but it was probably the best turkey I have ever had... he really gets into researching how to cook meat the best way and then tries out new recipes. This one was a success!

What a great fire place!! Too bad it doesn't produce much heat, but maybe it still gives the coziness effect!

Oh- and how have you been feeling?
