Prescott Trip

We feel very blessed that we were given the opportunity to interview at and visit Prescott, AZ. Steve's future  employers paid for our flights and hotel stay. We had a wonderful time. We loved that it was sunny every single day! It was especially fun that my parents and little brothers made the 5 1/2 hour drive drown to meet us! I love that Prescott is close to Utah!

Thursday evening we flew in to Phoenix pretty late and stayed at a nearby hotel. Alexa was a little wired past her bedtime on the flight, but she did OK.

Friday we woke up early and rode the shuttle up to Prescott. We met up with my parents and brothers at their hotel for breakfast and then we went exploring Prescott. The lakes were beautiful. They were surround by granite cliffs that were fun to explore.

We stopped by the dental practice. Steve went in for a quick hello and tour. His interview was later on Tuesday.

On Saturday morning my mom did a fun Easter egg hunt for Alexa. She loved it!

Later we hiked Thumb Butte, except the very top was closed because of falcon nesting or something...

After, we ran in to Jeff Flake and his family at Courthouse Square for his campaign. Jeff Flake is an AZ congressman running for Senate. He is my dads second cousin.

We did some swimming too. Alexa loves her new floatie-majag.

On Sunday we visited two church buildings and checked out the wards.

My family had to head home that afternoon... we were so glad that they could spend that time with us!
That evening we checked out some scenery just on the edge of town. There are a lot of homes built right into the boulders. It was beautiful!

Monday we checked out a lot of neighborhoods, went to a park, visited the mall, celebrated my birthday early at Texas Roadhouse, and went swimming.
Tuesday Steve had his interview while Alexa and I did some more home browsing and park visiting. We then met up with Steve. Alexa and I also got to meet a lot of the Staff and check out the office. It is a big office and everyone was SO nice! The Dentist and Operations Manager and their wives took us to dinner that night. Their wives were both pregnant too :) We are excited to get to know them a lot more. We felt like it was a great fit for Steve and our family.
On Wednesday Steve went into the office again and got the letter of intent, making the job official! He also got to shadow the dentist a bit more. That afternoon we drove down to Phoenix to Steve's aunts place. We got to go to Cafe Rio!! We also walked around the Mesa LDS Temple and visitor's center. It was beautiful. We stayed the night and then left early for the airport. We should have left earlier... we only made our flight by six minutes! One of our bags didn't make it with us... we picked it up the next day.

We had a fantastic trip!
