Caden's First Week

Caden is such a good and sweet baby! We stayed in the hospital Saturday night and went home Sunday after lunch. He was a little gassy the first two days and when he'd burp it would seem like he was choking, so that was a little scary. He slept all the time and sometimes it was really hard to wake him up for his feeding every four hours. The first two or three nights at home he seemed to have night and day mixed up and would wake up every two hours. But by night four he was doing 4 and 5 hour stretches of sleep.

At his first doctors appointment at 5 days old he was 6lbs 10oz, 19 1/2 inches.

Alexa and Bennett are loving baby, and luckily no crazy jealousy problems. Bennett seems monstrously huge now. The first couple of days home my mom took care of us and made us dinners. Steve took the whole week off except for Tuesday, which my mom took off. On Wednesday, my parents took Alexa and Bennett to Phoenix and Sedona to visit Lindsey's family. It was so nice having a quiet house for 5 days! (I did miss them and I cried when they left though). We had wonderful ward members bring us meals Wed-Fri.

We're loving our little Cade Man!
